China has consolidated itself as a major tourism and business hub. Each day thousands of individuals use their newly developed airports.

When planning your trip to the Land of the Dragon, you have to take into consideration, at least, the following:

 

I Visa application.

In the past the application process for a Chinese visa was reasonably straight forward. However, because the Olympic Games commence in August, the Chinese authorities have been forced to increase visitors’ control and have developed a security plan in which new regulations related to visa applications have been enacted.

 

A.        Requirements for the issuance of a Chinese Visa (Tourist)           

          1.  Duly completed application with true and accurate information.          

          2.  Original Passport (with a validity of, at least, 6 months)

          3.  If you are a foreign citizen living in a country which is not your own, a resident card of the hosting country must be

                presented.

          4.  1 (one) Photo (passport size)          

          5.  Round trip air tickets and hotel reservation.

 

Note: If you are planning to stay at a private home, an invitation letter and a copy of the ID of your host is also necessary.  

 

B.        Requirements for the issuance of a Chinese Visa (Tourist)

          1.  Duly completed application with true and accurate information.          

          2.  Original Passport (with a validity of, at least, 6 months)

          3.  If you are a foreign citizen living in a country which is not your own, a resident card of the hosting country must be

                presented.

          4.  1 (one) Photo (passport size) .

          5.  plus an invitation letter from a Chinese company.       

    

Note: Multiple entry visas have been suspended for an indefinite time. All visa applications take an estimate of at least 5 (five) business days. For information on costs, please visit your local or nearest Chinese consulate.
