Delhi, India

Considered one of the oldest continually inhabited cities in the world, Delhi boasts a population of over thirteen million. As the capital and gateway to India, visitors will discover an abundance of monuments, museums and galleries that delight in the beauty of both the ancient and modern.

Although organized into several districts, Delhi is often distinguished by referring to the “Old” and “New”. As a whole, Delhi is well connected and relatively easy to travel through.

The Delhi Metro is considered the most hassle-free and inexpensive option, when available. Otherwise, depend on trains, buses, taxis or rickshaws to guide you through the congestion.

Known for particularly hot summers and humid rainy seasons, travel is recommended from November to March. Scorching summers and frigid winters are an important consideration when planning travel here.
